Abstract:
“Information technology continues to enable and drive transformation around mobile working and information sharing. Against this backdrop is an evolving framework of legislation and compliance that tries to manage the often competing agendas of availability and security. This presentation provides a summary of the information governance issues that need to be considered when working with mobile and cloud solutions, alongside information about the practical issues faced by Nottingham City when deploying cloud and mobile working solutions.”

Bio:
Simon is the Head of IT Strategy at Nottingham City Council and a director of the East Midlands Public Services Network. He is responsible for managing the IT Security and Information Governance services, alongside Project, Strategy, Schools Support and IT Contracts and Procurement functions. He has worked in Information Security since 1999 and led one of the first implementations/accreditations to BS7799.
